Protect your 6.2L HEMI from one of the most expensive failures a modified Hellcat can experience. This crank pinning kit provides a simple, reliable way to mechanically lock the crankshaft and damper together, helping prevent the crank pulley from spinning on the crankshaft.

If you're installing an aftermarket crank damper, upper supercharger pulley, or increasing boost, pinning the crankshaft is cheap insurance compared to the potential cost of crankshaft or engine damage.

A spun crank pulley can damage the crankshaft snout and, in severe cases, turn a relatively simple modification into an expensive engine repair or replacement.

Why Pin the Crank?

The factory crank pulley relies on clamping force to prevent movement between the damper and crankshaft. As power, boost, and load increase, so does the potential for the damper to slip.

Pinning creates a mechanical connection between the crankshaft and damper to help prevent that movement.

Installation Notes

If the factory crankshaft damper bolt is removed, Chrysler specifies that it must be replaced.

For vehicles that will be serviced or modified regularly, we recommend upgrading to a high-strength reusable crankshaft bolt. A new OEM replacement crankshaft bolt can also be used when following the factory installation procedure.

Always follow the appropriate torque specifications and installation procedures for your application.
